Larry Knight

Larry also serves as an SBG Sox High School Showcase Program Director in Hattiesburg and the MS Gulf Coast area. He provides Pitching Instruction in the Hattiesburg facility.

As the EVP for Mississippi, Larry is responsible for all facilities in the state and oversees a staff of directors to provide quality instruction and coaches for the SBG Sox Youth Programs in each location.

From Hattiesburg, Larry attended and played at William Carey University before being drafted by the Atlanta Braves. After playing in the Braves organization he returned to his alma mater as an assistant coach, then started a 30 year career as high school coach that saw him lead teams from Hattiesburg High School, Petal High School and Sumrall High School to a combined 10 state championships. His Sumrall teams recorded 67 consecutive wins from 2009-2011 and finished with a #1 National Ranking in USA Today. He was also named the National Coach of the Year.

Larry is married with 3 children and lives in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
